Thanks to over 50 tech volunteers from all over the country, dog and cat lovers who have been volunteering for over a year to make the adoption process more accessible. Together, we created Adopt-Me Israel – a public benefit startup technological initiative.

All this on one platform that connects all the associations, kennels, and shelters in Israel, and makes all the necessary information and services accessible in one place.

Numerous studies have proven the immense positive impact that dogs and cats have on our lives. They are not just “pets,” but lifelong friends who can reduce stress and anxiety, increase feelings of happiness and mental well-being, and even encourage physical and social activity. Especially now, in the wake of “Operation Guardian Of The Walls” , the situation of our four-legged friends in Israel is more difficult than ever. Tens of thousands of homeless dogs and cats are waiting in kennels and shelters for hope and a new life. Adopting a dog is an exciting and love-filled journey, but it’s important to remember that it’s a long-term commitment and responsibility. The adoption process at Adopt-Me is designed to ensure that every dog finds the perfect home for them, and that every adopter understands the meaning and responsibility involved in caring for a dog.
We believe that responsible adoption is the foundation for a strong and loving bond between the dog and the adopter. Therefore, our adoption process includes a detailed questionnaire, tailored to each adopter, aimed at understanding their lifestyle, needs, and preferences. Then, our smart algorithm will suggest precise matches to the most suitable dogs, considering various factors such as age, size, energy level, special needs, and more.
In addition, we provide guidance and support throughout the entire adoption process and encourage adopters to contact us with any questions or concerns. It’s important for us to emphasize that the adoption process is mutual, and that the match should be perfect for both sides.
Unfortunately, there are cases where dogs are returned to associations after adoption. Such a return can cause significant psychological damage to the dog, harm their self-confidence, and create difficulty in future adaptation. Therefore, at Adopt-Me, we invest a lot of effort in education and advocacy to prevent such situations and ensure that every adoption is successful and happy.
