As part of the campaign, the players took pictures with sweet dogs looking for a warm home, all with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of adopting dogs and cats from shelter associations and kennels across the country.
In the photo, the actors were seen petting, playing and hugging the dogs, while emphasizing the important message – adoption saves lives. “Every dog and cat deserves a loving home,” said El Yam Kanzpolski, “and adoption is our way of showing love and supporting those who don’t have a voice.” The players call on everyone to join the initiative and adopt new friends, and to support not only the animals, but also the entire community. “We all want a better world,” they conclude, “and that starts with small but significant steps like adoption.”
The captain of the team, Robbie Levkovic: “Football is much more than a game – we have the opportunity to use our platform to do good and make an impact. Meeting these dogs and hearing their stories was especially moving. I hope this campaign will help them find loving homes and encourage people to consider adoption instead of buying”.
The campaign included several associations across the country – Herzliya and Netanya Love Animals, Lod-Ashdod Veterinary Service, Friends for Life, Douglas and For the Animals, from which you can find the sweet dogs that took pictures with the Hapoel players.
We can testify first hand that they are sweet one by one (the dogs of course). They know how to play nicely with a ball, behave like the good children they are and their look melted us all (the dogs, oh!)
Avi, a 4-month-old medium-sized puppy, gentle and loving, with an amazing and calm temperament. He gets along with everyone and is one of a litter of 13 puppies. He is looking for a forever home that will love him.
A 7-month-old mixed Boxer, rescued from a backyard breeding operation after being abandoned (she was sold as a purebred at a young age, and when they realized she wasn’t, she was abandoned). She is friendly, energetic, and full of life! Loves children and other dogs.
Bonito – was found in the garbage with his brother at the age of one month and has been waiting for a home ever since. Found in the kennel, while all his brothers went to foster care he is the only one who will not go out. A sociable and sweet dog, with a wonderful character, will need house training and some habituation.
A mixed shepherd who gets along with everyone!
About 7 and a half years old. He came to our nonprofit from the Gaza border area just moments before being euthanized in the pound. There was no longer space for him after he had been there for a very long time.
They said he was deaf and uncommunicative, and it didn’t seem like he had any chance for a good life. He came to us in a bad state, both physically and mentally. Johnny underwent rehabilitation and has become a loving and happy dog. He has been in foster care for two years with dogs and cats and gets along with everyone! And by the way, he hears perfectly well.

Sabi the Handsome is a mixed Pitbull found wandering without a microchip. He is three years old, smaller in reality than he appears in the photos, and relatively calm and quiet for his breed. He gets along with some dogs but would not be suitable for a home with cats.
